What happens when I run out of AI credits?
Your writing and non-AI tools remain available. Buy a one-time credit pack, add recurring monthly credits, or upgrade from Standard to Pro. One-time credits remain available for 12 months.
Do I own what I write on Novelest?
Yes. You retain full ownership of everything you create, including manuscripts, characters, plots, and worldbuilding notes. Your creative content is never used to train AI models, and you can export or delete it at any time.
How does the AI assistance work?
The AI assistant reads the context of your project — your characters, locations, objects, scenes, and previous chapters — and helps you plan story arcs, develop characters, draft scenes, and refine prose. Suggestions appear inline in the editor and adapt to your voice and style.
